Establishment of Sterile Accessions
Sterile accessions were generated by surface sterilising sporophytes or vegetative plant material using a 0.05% Sodium Dichloroisocyanurate solution for 1–2 minutes, followed by rinsing with sterile deionised water. Cultures are maintained on 1% agar in a modified Rudolph et al. (1988) medium containing Benomyl to limit fungal contamination. Erythromycin was applied when required to remove cyanobacterial infections. All accessions are kept under controlled LED-tube lighting, 16/8 day/night cycles, and a mean temperature of 20°C.
Overview of Taxonomic Diversity
The collection comprises a diverse array of thallous and leafy liverworts, including their respective taxon names. Synonyms used during collection are included.
